Now – Tekashi 6ix9ine has pled guilty to 9 counts in a federal criminal case, including a variety of firearm offenses,

and admitted to being a member of a gang according to recently unsealed documents reviewed by multiple outlets.

Court records show that the controversial Brooklyn rapper, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez,

entered his guilty plea on January 23, regarding his involvement with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.

The plea agreement was initially sealed to enable prosecutors to arrest additional members of the New York City gang, according to reports.

As part of his plea, 6ix9ine admitted to joining the gang in the fall 2017, and hiring a fellow gang member to “shoot at” rap rival Chief Keef in June 2018,

in order to “maintain or increase my own standing in Nine Trey,” according to documents cited by TMZ.

“On or about June 2, 2018, in furtherance of Nine Trey, of the Nine Trey enterprise,

I paid a person to shoot at a rival member of Nine Trey to scare him. The shooting took place in Manhattan,” he told a judge.

“I did this to maintain or increase my own standing in Nine Trey. In furtherance of this shooting, I knew that a member of Nine Trey discharged a gun,” Tekashi added.

He went on to admit to robbing a rival at gunpoint with other gang members in April 2018, to helping attempt to kill another rival in March 2018,

and to selling a kilo of heroin in 2017, the New York Post’s Page Six reported.

“On or about March 20, 2018, I helped members of Nine Trey attempt to kill a rival gang member,” he admitted.

Tekashi said he took part in an April gunpoint robbery and that in 2017 sold a kilo of heroin.

“I apologize to the court, to anyone who was hurt, to my family, friends and fans for what I have done and who I have let down,”

he told the judge, according to a court transcript obtained by Page Six.

6ix9ine was arrested in New York City on November 2018 on federal crime charges.

The rapper’s former manager Shottie, real name Kifano Jordan, and their associates Jensel Butler (aka Ish), Faheem Walter (aka Crippy),

Fuguan Lovick (aka Fu Banga), and Jamel Jones (aka Mel Murda), were arrested on the same charges.

Tekashi is tentatively set to be sentenced in January 2020, after the other defendants’ trial.
