Q nation concert: lucy q

by Happynaija
Who is Lucy Q?

She was born Queen Lucy Eneh, a fast rising Igbo female rapper, signed to an equally fast rising record label based in Enugu called Big n Small Entertainment. She is from Ezeagu in Enugu State and studied International Relations at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Like artistes before her who started in Enugu, she has been winning hearts of many in the Coal City. Once an artistes can win loyal fans in the southeast, he or she needs only
to push harder in order to conquer Africa’s largest entertainment market, Lagos. Is Lucy Q up to the task? Only time shall tell. But this young lady looks really hungry to take on the challenge.
She has been proving her onion gradually. In January 2017, the multi- Award winning lyricist and rapper, Illbliss, aka Oga boss, had asked her to jump on the remix of his song Chukwu Agozigo gi which also feature Terry Apala, the man who creatively messes up songs. Lucy Q’s delivery on that track was to say the least, amazing, filled with fire.
Judging from what we can see, she has what it takes. Lucy Q has started her career on a promising note. However, there is a sad reality about most up and coming artistes, which is that, promising beginnings may not necessarily translate to consistent and impactful career. We have seen this happen over and over again. All we can do is wish Lucy Q well as she starts her journey in this extremely competitive industry. Of course, we must also give her time to grow artistically and to fine-tune the identity she has brought to bare in the Igbo rap culture in particular, and the Nigeria music in general.
Her single, Zelum, released in November 2016, is an Igbo word which means ‘make way for me.’ This reminds one of the spanking hit, Eni Duro, which introduced Olamide in grand style to the Nigeria music industry. On this song, she raps about taking over as the Igbo rap Queen while warning other fake Emcees and Femcees to steer clear from her path. Like other ‘Local rapper’, she is also appropriates street Lingos while code-switching between English, Pidgin English and English. When you are looking for a fresh voice of female rapper in the game, Lucy Q’s rhymes and punchline are pleasure to listen to.
She has a new single out titled, Igbo. You may check it out.

She recently dropped two very hot singles titled BIG BALLER AND BAD YOUTH

On the 30th, November, 2018.  Lucy Q would be hosting her maiden concert tagged ”Q NATION CONCERT” At New Ikenga Hotel & Resort Nsukka.

Alongside artistes like Pepenazi, Terry akpala, slowdog, tidinz, and many more.

The event is powered by Big N Small Entertainment And Packaged By Ivaldrol Consult NG
