The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brig.-Gen. Suleiman Kazaure, has advised corps members to be disciplined and respect the culture and traditions of their host communities.
He gave the advise while addressing the 2018 Batch A corps members deployed to Niger
at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in
Paiko Local Government Area.
Kazaure, who was represented by Lady Clara Anekwe, Director,
NYSC Certification Department, urged corps members to pay
attention to camp activities such as skills acquisition and
Entrepreneurship Development programme.
“Take advantage of the camp activities especially the skills
acquisition part to be able to help people in your host
community and skills that will help you after your service year,”

In her welcome address, Mrs Theresa Arokoyo,
the NYSC Coordinator in Niger, said that 1,973 corps members were
under going orientation course out of
which 999 were males and 974 females.
She said that the corps members have exhibited excellent performance and
shown commitment, dedication to camp activities.
Arokoyo disclosed that the development of the NYSC permanent orientation camp
would commence soon, adding that the state government had provided
conducive environment for corps members.
