FG To Shut Third Mainland Bridge For Six Months
The Federal Government is set to close the Third Mainland Bridge for a half year beginning from Friday, July 24.
This was affirmed by the Federal Controller of Works in Lagos, Olukayode Popoola.
As per him, counsels are continuous for another period of fix attempts to start on the 11.8km extension.
Popoola clarified that the work will start on the outward terrain segment of the extension, and the service is working with important offices to consummate traffic during the period.
The scaffold has experienced a progression of fix works and was last closed in August 2018 for a three-day analytical support check.
There have likewise been reports of some exhausted extension joints on the structure, raising worries over the condition of the scaffold.
This improvement will drive drivers in Lagos who handle the scaffold to start making courses of action for elective courses.
