The Kano State Appeals Court on Thursday authorized the Democratic People’s Party (PDP) leadership candidate, Abba Yusuf, to participate in Saturday’s upcoming elections.
Judge Daniel Kalio, president of the court, formulated all the prayers of the appellant. The court awarded court title to the court, Mr. Yusuf as a candidate.
DAILY POST reported that a federal high court sitting in Kano had banned PDP leadership candidate Abba Kabir-Yusuf from running in the upcoming elections.
According to Premium Times, the spokesman for the PDP’s governor candidate, Sanusi Dawakintofa, said the party had called for the suspension of execution of the previous ruling by a federal high court in Kano on the validity of the party primaries on October 2nd.

Responding shortly after the judgment, Yusuf said that he was not surprised at the outcome of the Court of Appeal.

However, on PDP to keep their hopes alive and out in the crowd to vote for the party candidates.
Mr. Yusuf is considered the main challenger of Acting Governor Umar Ganduje of APC.
