Former President Olusegun Obasanjo revealed that his critics of the government of President Muhammadu Buhari were not born of hate.
Obasanjo said that he was criticizing the Buhari government because he is “his boss and that he has no personal contact with the president”.
According to him, he “only criticized the programs and policies of the current administration”.
82nd anniversary of the founding of the Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta, capital of Ogun State.
“Buhari; there is nothing personal between me and him. I’m his boss, with all the respect I owe you
“The fact is that I am in Nigeria and I want to be there.
“The goal of criticism is to deepen democracy and ensure economic growth and nation development.
“You see that in a democracy, criticizing a policy of government is not a family affair, I believe that it should do, it must be criticized.
“That’s what democracy is all about, so if I say that anyone in the Nigerian government or in Africa is not well, let this government prove that it’s fine, it’s not take things personally, “he repeated.
The former will remain calm in an environment without development.
