“HOW I DANCED ON THE STREETS OF LAGOS WITH AN AGBERO
Late 2019, I’d recently stopped my 9-5 occupation after only 5 months (longest employment I at any point held). I was destitute and detesting being a weight to my companion (favor you, D!). I was attempting to not be discouraged however that week was hardddd!
Subsequent to persevering through a crappy Monday to Friday, I signed on here and saw @ _PLICE ‘s giveaway tweet. I applied and won a pass to see a play (MAN ENOUGH) at Terra Kulture in VI. I chose to go as opposed to suffocating in my pity. I saw the lovely play and it lifted my soul a piece.
I was still in a dull spot, however I concluded I was finished being tragic. I began playing Justin Timberlake’s Can’t Stop the inclination and strolling down from Terra Kulture to Eko lodging indirect in light of the fact that my cash would complete in the event that I didn’t walk.
When I got to the significant street, the music hit and I began singing and strolling to the beat. I sing and move out and about (existence is too short not to). Anyhoo few moments later and Agbero who had quite recently completed the process of cussing somebody saw me, and I performed to him. He snickered at me
Be that as it may, not many advances later, I felt him close by, and I needed to perceive what he’d do, so I grinned at him. This uncle went along with me. I had earpiece on, however I was moving to the beat so he began copying each progression I was coming you with . I swear I sensed that I was in a film
Furthermore, similar to that we began moving to ‘Can’t stop the inclination’, knocking our hips in certain spots. Everybody turned and considered what wasn’t right with us. A few drivers halted however I was resolved to not be dismal any longer so I continued moving. The Agbero had a ton of fun as his folks hailed him
We got to Eko Hotel indirect, quit moving and began snickering at ourselves. We were completely exhausted and I was encircled by Agberos however it was the most lovely second I at any point had in Lagos.
Few moments later, he guided me by hand to the opposite roadside, halted a keke and paid for me. Not long before he left, I halted him and said Thank You. That Agbero might not have realized what he accomplished for me that day however hitting the dance floor with me presumably spared me from wretchedness. End!”
